What are the objectives for the Level 3 Award in Counter-Terrorism Protective Security and Preparedness?
The objective of the CTPSaP qualification is to provide learners with knowledge, skills, and understanding of the attack methods used by terrorists, how to assess the likelihood of such threats, and the available mitigation strategies.
They will also learn how to apply these strategies effectively. Additionally, they will recognise the limits of their own expertise and understand when and how to seek advice or support from specialist professionals.
This qualification has been developed in collaboration with the National Counter-Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO). It has been designed with alignment to the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn's Law)

Who should take this qualification?
The qualification provides a strong foundation in counter‑terrorism measures and is suitable for anyone within your organisation who would benefit from a deeper understanding of protective security and preparedness.
Examples of those who might benefit from this qualification include security officers, supervisors or teams, facilities managers, event teams, safety or emergency planning staff, leadership and management staff responsible for organisational resilience or security measures.

We offer training directly to learners to deliver the qualification, with tutor support throughout the learning cycle, in partnership with SFJ Awards, which provides the regulatory framework, assessment and certification.
